Online Ease

Contribution by Stevie Kirby

For years I have lived in what we affectionately call the” boondocks.” It’s sometimes inconvenient to be so far from civilization but I love the beauty of the country and wouldn’t trade it for anything. The closest mall is about half an hour away and the closest grocery store is fifteen minutes. The biggest downfall up until now has been the cost of gas to get anywhere we need to go. Now that we can get wildblue, though life is much easier! I use my internet connection to order as many things as I can online saving me trips to the store. It’s amazing what you can find on the internet. I order everything from diapers to clothes to non-perishable food. Plus, you can get great savings when you buy in bulk! I love that I no longer have to travel regularly to the store and I can save money. There’s also the time savings. I can set up repeat orders or go online and view my previous order to have the things I want again resent.

Walgreens Deal

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walgreens. All opinions are 100% mine.

I've been shopping at Walgreens since they opened here in San Diego and I'm a huge fan. I was so excited when they opened up a store in my neighborhood. It is so convenient when I'm in a hurry; I can find almost everything I need and I'm in and out in no time and the employees are always helpful and friendly. Something you don't see too often these days!

This past holiday, I was looking for Candy Cane decorations for my front yard, all of the big stores were completely sold out ... I found them at Walgreens and they were on sale!!

Now, Walgreens is offering a special discount on annual memberships for their Walgreens Prescription Savings Club

For only $35 a year, a family membership covers everyone in the immediate family including a spouse, dependents 22 and younger and even your family pets!! Join and receive discount prices on your prescriptions. $20 for individuals.

Bzzzzzz

I joined the Smarterer BzzCampaign and took the BzzAgent Smarterer Test, I guess I'm not a smart BzzAgent! I only got 343 of 800! I need to go back to Agent Training.

Me ... on Twitter??

OK, so I was at work on Tuesday and couldn't get emails. I went to our email service provider and couldn't find a single thing about why we weren't getting emails. I noticed they had a "Follow" for twitter and I clicked it. There I found out they were having issues with emails!! Wow ... how can a social media outlet have the information I need and not the actual companies website?!?

So, now I'm looking into this Twitter thing. I've had an account for years and except for the occasional contest where all you do is click a link to tweet, I've never used it. I am a tweeting newbie. I don't get the # and @ signs, when are they used??? I was just trying to get use to the new Facebook Timeline and now I gotta learn a new social media?!? Oh my brain hurts! lol ... if you've got any tips for me, let me know!

The Good Old Days

Thanks to Olga Quinn

When I first moved to Atlanta I had absolutely no money. I was 22 years old and fresh out of college. I had a job, but I was only making $25,000 a year. I thought I would be fine on that salary, even though I knew that I would have to be very conservative. It was hard at the time, but now when I remember those lean times, I remember all the good things. I used to complain a lot about not having any money, but I had a great time. I made so many friends and had so many new experiences. I remember when I moved out of my studio apartment into a one bedroom and could actually afford DIRECTV atlanta for the first time. I thought I was so cool! I finally had enough space to have friends over for dinner or drinks. Now that I am older I wish I could go back to those more simple times. Now I have all of these responsibilities like kids and a mortgage. Sire, I have more money, and I can spend more, but those days were fun.
